Finding a message in a bottle has often been romanticized by pop culture as it connects the finder with the sender of the letter through time and a distant location. However, people have been putting messages in bottles for more than a century beginning with the Greek philosopher Theophrastus who put sealed bottles into the sea as part of an experiment to prove the Mediterranean Sea was formed by the inflowing Atlantic Ocean. Join us on the Island of French Polynesia as we explore the history, lore and yes environmental issues associated with putting messages in a bottle.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to ocean conservancy to keep our oceans and beaches clean.
