10 Runners on Instagram You Should Follow

If you're taking part in virtual races, or whatever activity you do, there are days that it's hard to get off the couch and get motivated. If you are in need of a little extra motivation, then here are 10 runners on Instagram you should follow to get you back out and logging those miles!

1. @sassyfitgirl

Sashea Lawson is a runner, triathlete and entrepreneur who started @diverserunnersworld, a community of curated images focusing on runners of all ethnicities, cultures, genders, ages, shapes, abilities and sizes. In addition to her super inspiring Instagram accounts, Sashea has a blog and Facebook page where she shares exercise tips, fitness challenges, and recipes.

2. @thefitwanderluster

Kristy is another one on our list of inspiring runners. In addition to running, she is also a massage therapist and physical therapist, living in Metz, France. She runs a blog called The Fit Wanderluster which focuses on travel and running and also has some interesting videos on workouts and exercises around active recovery.

3. @ksellers8runs

Kristin Sellers is an avid runner and mom who has run four marathons and twenty-eight half marathons. She posts regularly detailing her training and shares her experience of running a mile+ every day. So far she's on day 57!

4. @fastkate

Kate Grace is a runner and an Olympian with @TeamUSA and an American middle distance runner. While attending Yale, she broke not one but FOUR school records. In 2019, she won the 1500m race in 4:02.49. Currently, she is training for the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

5. @samappo

Sam Appleton is an Australian currently residing in Boulder, Colorado. He began competing in Triathlons at age 14 and has acquired 15 Ironman 70.3 wins. Most recently, he took part in the The Ironman 70.3 Geelong where he finished in 2nd place.

6. @runfitmumkate

Kate is a runner living in Great Britain who shares her day-to-day realities of being a stay-at-home mum who also works. Her posts are refreshing and can inspire anyone to lace up the sneakers and go out for a run - even if it's in the snow.

7. @hellahgood9

Hellah Sidibe has a great story, you have GOT to follow. He ran over 3,000 miles in 2020 and currently is taking on the United States, but running across it - all of it!

8. @runwithrachel

According to her Instagram handle, Rachel went from being a non-runner to running a marathon in 6 months! She has ran 10 Marathons and one Ultra. She has been running for seven years and definitely is one to follow if you're seeking some motivation!

9. @nicksymmonds
Nick Symmonds is a two-time Olympian and a retired middle distance track athlete from Boise, Idaho. He took part in track and field for nearly two decades. In 2014, he and his coach, Sam Lapray, created the energy-boosting gum brand, @rungum.

10. @runningbrina

Sabrina is a marathoner and blogger who runs (pun intended) Running Brina. She also has a pretty adorable puppy named Cooper, who also has his own Instagram, @cooperthelab.
