What?
This is the Virtual Race for the <a href="https://www.signmeup.com/site/online-event-registration/105947" target="_blank">Super Sunny 5K</a>. Can't make the race on June 3rd? Are you out of town, have a conflict, or are injured? The Virtual Super Sunny 5K is a great way to support Garden Center Services and still get your T-shirt (must be registered by 5/25). You may also join with some friends and create a sub-team. Which team can rack up the most miles?  You may complete your race anytime between now and June 6th.
Why?
This event brings together friends, families, and agency advocates to raise funds that help maintain the daily supports we provide to persons with developmental disabilities. Illinois is currently facing a $70million shortfall in funding for services for people with developmental disabilities, this is in additional to our annual funding gap of $300k for day services alone. Your registration helps us to fill these gaps. Additionally,<a href="/GardenCenterServicesSuperSunny5k" target="_blank"> NEW THIS YEAR you can pledge to raise at least $250</a> and get a very special hooded sweatshirt, and know that you've directly impacted our services.  
How
Click accept the challenge.  Once you register, you will be joined to the Virtual Race. From there you can connect your Garmin Connect or Runkeeper Accounts. You may also use manual entry to record your workouts.  You may do this 5K in one or more run/walks. Every time you complete a workout, you will receive a new Google Street View of your progress on the course and your progress map will be updated.
